What time can I check in at the hotel, and when do I have to vacate my room?
We are pleased to welcome you for check-in from 3:00 PM. On the day of your departure, we ask that you vacate your room (check-out) by 11:00 AM.
Is the reception open if I arrive late at night?
Yes, our reception team is available 24/7 to welcome you at any time.

Where and at what time should I have breakfast?
Start your day overlooking our beautiful gardens with our full buffet. Weekdays: 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Weekends: 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Price: €15 per person For children aged 4 to 11: €8 (free for children under 4) Express breakfast (hot drink, 2 mini pastries, 1 piece of fruit): €4
Does the hotel have a restaurant or bar?
Absolutely! The Hotel Charlemagne offers two distinct spaces to suit your desires or needs: The Bar: Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Bright and featuring a large terrace, it offers cocktails, drinks, and snacks (lunch and dinner).
The Restaurant ("La Bibliothèque"): Dedicated to traditional cuisine, this intimate space is only available by reservation for groups and seminars.

What amenities will I find in my room?
All our rooms offer a warm and contemporary atmosphere. They are equipped with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, safe, desk, bathroom with hairdryer and eco-friendly toiletries, as well as a courtesy tray.
Do you have rooms for families (3 people)?
Yes, we offer Superior Triple Rooms (28m²). These spacious rooms feature one queen-size bed and one single bed. A baby cot can also be added upon request.
Is the hotel accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM)?
Unfortunately, the Hotel Charlemagne does not have rooms adapted to meet accessibility standards.

Yes, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi is available free of charge and without limits throughout the hotel (rooms, bar, terrace, and meeting rooms).
Do you accept pets?
Your dogs and cats are welcome at Charlemagne! A supplement of €15 per animal per day will be charged.
Can I leave my luggage at the hotel?
Absolutely. Secure luggage storage is available free of charge so you can enjoy Lyon in complete freedom before your arrival or after your departure.

The Charlemagne is a must-see venue for events in Lyon.
We offer an optimal working environment with:
7 seminar rooms (including the Veranda, Terrace, Residence, Terreaux, Croix Rousse spaces, etc.) with natural light.
1 amphitheater ("Caravelle").
Maximum capacity: up to 121 people.
What equipment is provided in the rooms?
All our rooms are fully equipped with video projectors, flipcharts, notepads/pens, sound equipment with microphones, air conditioning, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Refreshment breaks are also provided.

The tourist tax is €2.86 per person per night. It must be paid directly on site upon arrival.

The Hotel Charlemagne does not have private parking. However, we have negotiated preferential rates for you with the Q-Park Lyon Perrache Archives car park, located nearby.

How do I get to the hotel from the train station or airport?
Located on the Presqu'île (Confluence district), the hotel is extremely accessible:
Lyon Perrache train station: 5 minutes on foot (or direct access by tram).
Lyon Part-Dieu train station: 25 minutes by public transport or car.
T1 (towards Debourg) from the Vivier Merle stop to Place des Archives.
Or, metro B towards Charpennes, then change to metro A towards Perrache.
Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport: 55 minutes by public transport or 30 minutes by car. Rhône Express to Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, then change to Metro A towards Perrache. Get off at Perrache and walk.
Nearby transportation: Place des Archives stop, tram T1 or T2 or Metro A, Perrache stop.
A Vélo'V bike station is also available.
